Bored.
I have a long car ride coming up since I am coming home from college for winter break soon and I think I want to make a bracelet so the car ride goes quicker. I would like to share a picture with all of you of what I am thinking about making. It is a heart bracelet. It is kind of like the candy stripe and inverse chevron combined. I will post a picture of one here and once I complete mine I will post that picture with instructions on how to do it (I want to make sure I can actually still do it!) Here you go!
This one was made by my friend -

How to Make the Inverse Chevron
After knowing how to make the Candy Stripe, you can easily learn the Inverse Chevron. This is how you do it.
1. Pick 4 colors of string and make them about 2 arms lengths.
2. Put the 4 strings together and fold them in half.
3. Take the 4 strings and separate them in the order you want the colors to appear in the bracelet.
4. Take the outside most string on the left and do a basic forward knot over the next 3 colors.
5. Now, take the outside most string on the right (which should be the same color as what was the outside most string on the left) and do the same thing over the next 3 strings to the left but with basic backward knots.
6. Now the 2 outmost strings will be in the middle and now you know those together and that will give you your first V!
7. Continue doing this throughout the whole bracelet

A New Bracelets
I just recently finished making this bracelet. It is called the Inverse Chevron. I think that it is the second easiest pattern to learn after the basic candy stripe.

Instructions for Basic Knot (Candy Stripe)
Step 1: Cut 3 strands of each of your 3 colors of string to about 3 feet each.
Step 2: Gripping all strands together, tie anoverhand knot, leaving a tail of about 3 inches
Step 3: Attach your string to something - you can tape it to a table or clip it to a clipboard.
Step 4: Spread out your string.
Step 5: Using your left-most strand of string, bring it over strand 2, behind strand 2, and back in front of strand 1. Make sure you are holding strand 2 tight when you make the knot, and pull strand 1 up and slightly to the right to tighten the knot. To continue down the row, use the same strand you knotted over strand 2, and use it to form the same knot on strand 3. Continue using strand 1 to make a knot on strand 4, then 5, etc., until you have made a knot on each strand all the way across. If you completed the row correctly, the strand that was the left most strand at the beginning of Step 5 is now the right-most strand.
Step 6: Do it again, starting with your leftmost strand.
REPEAT !
You now have your first friendship bracelet!
